Expert Guidance for Families, Schools and Young People
Navigating special educational needs provision can feel complex, overwhelming and difficult to manage alone. Nutritious Minds Trust Charity aims to provide practical guidance for families seeking appropriate educational support for a child or young person with ADHD, autism, dyslexia or another neurodevelopmental difference. Our wider mission is to help identify unmet neurodivergent needs as early as possible and reduce the risk of children becoming disengaged from education, repeatedly sanctioned, excluded or drawn into what is often described as the playground-to-prison pipeline
Expert Guidance for Families, Schools and Young People
Nutritious Minds Trust Charity is currently developing this area of support and does not yet have sufficient staff capacity to respond immediately to every enquiry. Families, schools and young people are invited to complete our online form to join the waiting list.
Requests will be reviewed according to staff availability, the nature and urgency of the enquiry, the age and needs of the child or young person, the type of support requested, whether the enquiry falls within the charity’s current scope, and the availability of an appropriately experienced member of the team.
Your enquiry will be logged and reviewed according to staff capacity and suitability. Where we are able to help, a member of the team will contact you to discuss possible next steps. Where we may be unable to offer direct support, we may provide general information or signposting where appropriate

Community Project
The BEAANS – Beats, Exercise, Art, ADHD and Nutrition Study is a community-led, grassroots preventative research project developed in collaboration with the University of Roehampton. It aims to provide creative activities, structured exercise, nutritional supplementation, nutrition education and nutritionally designed meals for children with ADHD and other neurodivergent conditions who are beginning to show signs of disengagement from school.
The project will explore the relationship between ADHD and neurodivergent symptoms, nutrition, learning, behaviour and mood, with the aim of contributing to a peer-reviewed publication and building an evidence-informed model that could eventually be rolled out nationally. If you are a psychology or nutrition student and would like to volunteer with BEAANS, we would love to hear from you. We are also seeking supporters and donors who are passionate about improving outcomes for neurodivergent children.
We need to raise a minimum of £60,000 to launch the project. If you would like to support BEAANS, volunteer, collaborate or contribute to the research, please get in touch.
